Fishing In Kona Hawaii on the Sundowner with Captain Erik Rusnak

What Could Be Better?

Special Olympics First Annual Uncle Richards Fishing Tournament

Kona is one of the top fishing destinations of anglers young and old, those that are veterans of the sport and those that are hoping to become a veteran of the sport. Kona is famous for big fish and calm waters and has often been called the sportfishing capital of the Pacific.

Many world record Blue Marlin have been caught off the Kona coast; most of which were hooked within four miles of the shoreline. Even though Blue Marlin makes Kona fishing famous, we also catch Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Short Nosed Spearfish, Sailfish, Broadbill Swordfish, Ahi (yellowfin tuna), Mahi-Mahi (dolphin fish or dorado), Ono (wahoo) and an assortment of sharks and bottom fish.

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned veteran, we specialize in making your fishing experience very positive. Our captain and crew will go through a step by step demonstration of what you'll need to do and know in order to land the fish of your dreams. Our goal is to make sure that you have a great time!
